Grass Cutting - UPDATE

Fidosfun would like to apologise for Wokingham and Binfield 2 fields not yet being mowed.

The fields were all booked to be mowed this week, but unfortunately a part on the tractor broke whilst cutting field 3 (now half cut/half long, which Im sure the dogs will love).

We are hoping to get the part this week and the tractor fixed and will get out on the fields asap.

Hopefully your dogs are all still enjoying the fun of the fields. We've had videos and photos of the fun in the long grass and will post them on our facebook page.

I actually like how field 2 is at the moment, the mix of shorter and longer grass , my spaniel likes running through the longer grass , but each dog is different, I have to agree with you on the troughs, even though I take water , my dog keeps going to the troughs and not only drinking but jumping in !!

I’ve tried to keep him away and stop him , and I honestly don’t know why he started doing it . But it’s happening in both fields .

Somewhere I received something asking for what we preferred in terms of grass length. I regularly hire field 2 in Binfield and just wanted to say I prefer the grass to be cut short as poss. It’s easier to pick poo up in, less likelihood of ticks and less wet shoes and socks etc. Also easier for me to see where there is unevenness and holes for myself but also my dogs. They’re greyhounds so can do major damage hitting an unexpected surface.

Also, as a side note, both my boys have had very loose stools since drinking from the trough in field 2. I’m having to take them to the vets as it hasn’t cleared itself up. Can this…
